The pentagon Lamp
I made a few different models before I was sure about the final design. I started with a square design, it involved the same premise, squares stacked on each other at different angles. I liked this design however, I wanted more gaps for the light rays to shine out of, to add more to the ambience the lamp inhabits. And that’s when I had the idea to have a pentagon shape
The lamps primary detail is its pentagonal shape, which sets it apart from more conventional lamps. Each side of the pentagon adds to the lamps symmetry and visual appeal. When the lamp is illuminated, the layers of the pentagon cast intriguing shadows on surrounding surfaces, adding depth and dimension to the space it inhabits. The interplay of light and shadow creates a captive ambiance, especially in a dimly lit room. These are just some of the many details the pentagon has to offer.
To make the lamp, I had to secure each layer of the pentagons, I simply cut 1cm deep into each pentagon and positioned one on top of the other.  after this process I noticed it wasn’t as structurally sound as I thought. So, I added small dots of glue to each joint, and once it had dried, it made the whole product secure and more solid.
